Rashi

The rashi are the twelve signs of Vedic astrology — Mesha (Aries), Vrishabha (Taurus) and the rest — the same twelve signs as the West, but read against the sidereal (star-fixed) zodiac. India adopted the twelve-sign scheme from Hellenistic Greek astrology in the early centuries AD.
