Ogbe Iwori
Ogbe Iwori is the Odù of illuminated self-knowledge: Ogbe's outward-facing divine light — the first and most radiant of all Meji — turned inward by Iwori's introspective energy to illuminate the inner landscape of the soul with the same clarity it would bring to the outer world. Where Ogbe alone is the great outer light, and Iwori alone is the great inner seeing, together they produce something that neither achieves independently: the self-knowledge that is illuminated rather than anxious, clear rather than distorted, aligned with divine wisdom rather than merely personal opinion. In the Ifá tradition, Ogbe Iwori is associated with the proper alignment of Ori (the individual divine head, the personal soul) with Orunmila's cosmic wisdom — the condition in which a person's inner guidance and the universe's guidance are working in the same direction.
